John Willis – November 4, 2016. This is essentially a reduced functionality version of the ZyXEL VSG-1432 running a Busybox Linux 2.3 kernel. It has a NAND MTD filesystem with the CFE bootloader and a Broadcom chipset. Both the C1100Z / VSG-1432 are xDSL modems, PPPoE clients and WAN router gateways with a 2.4 GHz WiFi radio.
C4000 features. Secure WiFi compatible (with leased modem) WiFi 6 technology with dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 802.11ax. Smart Connect single wireless network (SSID): Auto-selects the fastest band for each device. Single LED status light. Dynamic QoS: Prioritizes data through the router for smoother streaming. Standards-based WiFi WPA3 security.

Select the “Get Automatically From ISP” option. Click the “Factory Default” option in the “WAN MAC Address” window, and click “Next.”. please Click the “Apply” button, Wait a few minutes for the router to reboot and apply the configuration changes. whenever you like you can login to the Zyxel router and click on wireless

Click the Go to Advanced setup option. Once you are at the status page click on the Maintenance menu on the left and go to Sys OP Mode . In Sys OP Mode menu select the Universal Repeater option. A pop-up screen will appear letting you know that all router functions are being stripped away, all Ethernet ports are LAN ports and the new IP address

The nice thing about our Zyxel routers are that they can be configured with the username and password for internet access automatically. This process can take between 5 and 10 minutes. All you’ll have to do is connect to the Wi-Fi network and wait for the internet light on the router to switch to green.

ISP: MetroNet. All devices (1 phone, 1 tablet, 2 desktops) were abruptly disconnected from the 2.4GHz network. The ssid was broadcast, but no devices could connect to it. Meanwhile, the 5GHz network had no connectivity issues and internet access was available during this time. 2.4GHz service was restored after 5-10 minutes.

The router seems to be rejecting connection attempts when I try to access the web configurator by using the IP 192.168.1.1 on the web browser. I have tried disabling the pop-up blocker on the browser as instructed by the user guide. I also tried connecting to the router over the wi-fi and using a LAN cable.
